Commitment to Safety

We are deeply committed to making safety an essential part of every task performed on every job we undertake and we strive to assure the overall safety of our workers, subcontractors, and customers. With that goal in mind we have committed our resources and personnel to:

• The employment of a full time Safety Director, the employment of full time Safety Managers, and direct access from the Safety Director to our President and CEO.
• Hands on, daily involvement of our President and Chief Executive Officer with the Safety Department.

• Active member of the Mid-Ohio Valley Safety Council since its inception.

• Active Participation in the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation Drug Free Workplace Program.
• Operation of an Employee Assistance Program and Drug and Alcohol Abuse Training.
• Providing certified OSHA 500 Construction Safety, OSHA 501 General Industry, and American Heart Association CPR/First Aid instructors on staff.
• Providing a Supervisor's Training Program and conduct weekly toolbox talks.
• Developing, implementing, and continually working to improve comprehensive safety programs, manuals and procedures to provide our employees with the most up-to-date safety and health guidelines.

The following are some of our recent National Safety Awards.

• Zero Injury Awards from the National Maintenance Agreement Policy Committee (2008, 2007, 2006, 2005).
• Outstanding Safety Performance Awards from the Association of Union Constructors (2008, 2007).
